My ten-year-old Maltipoo, Bella, is experiencing labored breathing and wheezing. She has an enlarged heart and takes heart medication, as well as hydrocodone twice daily for coughing due to a collapsed trachea. Her breathing seems to be coming from her belly, and she appears to be struggling. Should I take her to an emergency vet immediately, or can I wait until the morning?
