My vet received a cytology report from Antech Diagnostics on my dog, which indicates a possible mast cell tumor. The report is inconclusive and more tests may be needed. Antech Diagnostics' policy is to only discuss findings with the vet, not the owner. Are there reputable labs in the US that will discuss my dog's results with me directly?

My 2-year-old female Shar Pei has suddenly become ill. She is shivering, almost shaking, with heavier than usual and almost labored breathing, and is not very warm. I suspect a fever or infection. Should I take her to the emergency room or wait until morning to see the vet?

My 9-year-old foster dog is suddenly losing clumps of fur. He is a male, mostly yellow lab with some shepherd markings. He has seemed fine for the past 3-4 weeks, but recently, I noticed a significant amount of hair loss after petting him. I gave him a bath, which seemed to exacerbate the shedding. His temperament is fine, he's happy, walking well, eating, and we provide healthy, all-natural food and veterinary-recommended shampoos. What could be causing this sudden shedding, and what should I do?
