My yellow lab, Lorelei, started limping and holds up her right paw even when sitting. She lets me look at it, and one toe looks a little swollen/red, but she isn't protective or anxious about me looking at it unless I get really nosy. She isn't licking the swelling, and she still jumps onto furniture and my bed. I noticed the limp on Thursday evening, and she uses her foot when jumping without hesitation but holds it up when sitting. Is one of the toes swollen? What could be causing this, and how should I proceed with the dog sitter who will be staying at my home?

We think our dog may have ingested rat poison, but we don’t know for sure. The dog has not vomited and only chewed a small amount of the poison. The dog weighs about 60 pounds. What should we do and what symptoms should we look out for?

My pit bull, Feira, has a swollen spot under her chin the size of a baseball. When did you first notice this swelling? Does Feira have any symptoms such as lethargy, loss of appetite, etc? Is the swelling painful or warm to the touch? Do you have a photo of the area that you can attach for me to review?

My dog, Kronos, a 6-year-old English Bulldog weighing 80-90 lbs, got into a bottle of Visine. He chewed on it and made a hole, with about half of the 15 ml bottle missing. What should I do to ensure he doesn't suffer from any potential toxicity?
