We have 4 dogs and they broke into their heartworm medication and ate 12 tabs of Sentinel. We don't know which dog, or how many dogs were involved. What should we do?

We have found a stray puppy we are interested in keeping. We have scheduled a wellness check tomorrow morning but are wondering how safe it is to let him in the house this evening? We have one other dog who is up to date on all his vaccines and healthy. My instincts are telling me to keep the puppy in the backyard until we are able to get him checked out but it is pouring rain out and it is breaking my heart to leave him out there.
