I am fostering a young staffie bitch, around 9/10 months old, for the local dog rescue. She is severely traumatized, shakes when frightened, and has a history of being confined in a dark or gloomy space. She bolts her food, wees frequently, and has bowel movements three or more times a day. She is currently on antibiotics for kennel cough and needs vaccinating and worming. She is terrified of going outside and has selected a secure corner in my home. How can I help her overcome her traumas and prepare her for a permanent, caring home?
