Our 7-year-old pit/lab mix started vomiting bile with red blood specks, had a low appetite, and vomited food when tried to eat. She was taken to the vet, who performed a CBC, CMP, lipase, and urine test, and did an ultrasound and X-ray, diagnosing her with gastritis and prescribing Cerenia. She passed a foul-smelling, green stool, hasn't vomited since starting Cerenia, but is now refusing to eat and is shivering. What should we do to help her, and when should we consider an ER visit?
