Our dog, a 6 1/2-year-old lab mix named Maggie, is having diarrhea with mucus and a small amount of blood. She has been given chicken and rice, a probiotic chew, and Pepto Bismol, which has helped but not completely resolved the issue. She is straining to defecate but producing little stool, and her stomach is firm but not enlarged. Is there anything else we should do or give her?

Maggie's symptoms are likely due to acute enteritis and colitis, which can often be managed at home....

My 10-pound Yorkshire terrier, Joy, ate about 8 garlic-diced noodles and vomited 10 minutes later. What should I do to help her, and how much will this conversation cost?

My dog, Samson, has put on a lot of weight in a short period of time. He has a rash under his front leg, runny eyes, and wants to eat all the time despite being fed twice a day and given 3 or 4 treats. What could be causing these issues and what can I do to help him?

My dog, Louie, an Australian Shepherd, has been vomiting once a day for a week. The vomit usually contains food, but today it was yellow liquid. He may have chewed on a pill bottle containing Mobic (15 mg) last Saturday, but I'm not sure if he ingested any pills. His stool is normal, and he's still very active. What could be causing this, and what should I do?
