My German Shepherd lost 20 pounds in 4 months, eats 6 cups of dry food and a can of wet food daily, urinates frequently, has loose bowel movements, and may have ingested jerky treats. He has been to the vet, but no stool sample was taken. Should I take him back to the vet?

My dog has been eating more than usual, started limping on his front left leg, has difficulty getting up, and won't put any weight on the injured leg. He sometimes extends the injured leg uncontrollably, limps outside but walks somewhat normally after a while, and has been consuming and vomiting large amounts of grass. What could be happening to my dog, and is there any additional information needed?
