Our dog, Wicket, a 13-year-old schnauzer mix, has been having diarrhea with blood, which is unusual for her. She hasn't vomited and seems her usual self but doesn't want to eat. We haven't changed her diet, but she sometimes gets into the trash. We have a vet appointment in 8 hours but are unsure if we should go to the emergency vet now. What should we do?

My diabetic dog, Ovie, ate a loaf of rye bread and is having trouble with his back legs. He received his insulin dose this morning. What should I do to help him, and is it safe to wait until tomorrow to take him to the vet?

Can I use Neosporin on my dog’s wound? My dog, Jessie Boo, a Papillon weighing 19 lbs and aged 8 years, had an allergic reaction to shampoo and chewed his tail, causing cuts. I took him to the vet who prescribed Neo-Predef with Tetracaine powder, but he becomes very agitated after applying it. I thought Neosporin might be a better option.

Our puppies got a container of cream of tartar. They chewed the container and some spilled on the rug. We don't know if either of them ingested any. What should we do?

My 11-month-old Doberman ate an entire avocado, including the pit, about 90 minutes ago. I gave him 2.5 tbsp of 3% hydrogen peroxide to induce vomiting, but my husband let him drink water. What should I do next?

My dog, Sarge, has recurring skin sores despite being treated with antibiotics. He has been diagnosed with allergies but we don't know the cause. He licks and scratches occasionally, and the sores come back after antibiotic treatment. What can we do to identify and treat the underlying cause of his skin issues?
