Our four-year-old female Labrador retriever has had diarrhea for 2-3 days, accompanied by small amounts of blood in her stool. She has to go frequently, often urgently, and strains to eliminate small amounts of runny/bloody stool. We replaced her regular kibble with plain white rice for the first couple of days, but this has not affected the diarrhea. Should we make an appointment to see a vet or give it another day or so to see if the problem resolves itself?
