Our little mini dachshund ate half a chalk pastel made by Prismacolor. The site says it's non-toxic. Should we be worried? The dog, Niko, is 1 year and 10 months old, weighs 22-24 lbs, and it has been about 30-44 minutes since he ate the pastel with no vomiting.

My Staffy is feeling unwell. She had foam around her mouth yesterday afternoon after a lot of activity, and now she is very subdued with short, quick breaths. She vomited mucus once yesterday evening after swimming in a dam and fetching sticks. What should I do?

My dog, Max, has been scratching and picking at a very red area around his anus, and his back legs are giving out, causing difficulty in walking. The redness started a couple of days ago, and everything else seems normal. What could be causing this, and what can I do in the meantime?

My dog, Bella, a 10-year-old mix between a poodle and a mini schnauzer, is shivering and not interested in her favorite treat. She has been indoors except for this morning and has shown no coughing, limping, or drooling. She also exhibits lip smacking, as if she has a dry mouth. What could be causing this, and what should I do?

My dog, Toto, a 4-year-old weighing about 20 lbs, may have eaten one of the following pills: melatonin, atorvastatin, human stool softener, antihistamine, or magnesium. This happened about half an hour ago, and he seems fine. What should I do?

I changed my dog Trooper's food about a month ago, and his poop has been bright yellow with stomach churning and gas, but he's eating, playing, and acting fine. Today was the first day of hard poop, still yellow. He's a 2-year-old German Shepherd eating Purina beef flavor. Should I change his food back, let him adjust, or try a probiotic? Also, how long should I wait for his poop to become brown before considering a vet visit?
