We have a 14-week-old puppy with diarrhea for the last 2-3 weeks. The vet found no parasites, gave dewormers, and prescribed METRONIDAZOLE, but the diarrhea persists. The puppy is otherwise healthy, playful, gaining weight, and not dehydrated. He is also getting a probiotic daily. His poop is mushy, not watery. His brother tested positive for hookworms and had similar symptoms. What else can we try?

My new adopted Chihuahua has regular stools, then diarrhea, and then a clear liquid with gelatinous blood in it. She does not want to eat today and is lethargic. Tests in July by SPCA showed exocrine pancreatic insufficiency and IBS. I am feeding her Blue Buffalo Turkey and potato for small breeds, but she has horrible gas after eating. What food should I give her and what about probiotics?

My 12-year-old Italian Greyhound has been experiencing repeated unilateral epistaxis (nose bleeds) on the left side, especially when excited. Blood work and X-rays are all normal, and there is no fever. What could be causing this, and what should I do next, given that I cannot afford a CT scan or rhinoplasty?

My Shih Tzu had 6 pups on Monday. One of them is colder than the others and doesn't seem to be feeding off the mother. Any ideas?
