We just moved from Colorado to Arkansas and I think my Corgi, Cooper, might have mange. He is losing huge patches of hair and has been scratching and licking his paws. I have used medicated shampoo for dermatitis, but the hair is still falling out in chunks. What could be causing this and what should I do?

My dog is very itchy and has small welts around his body. We have given him 100 mg of Benadryl about 4 hours ago, but it appears to be wearing off. I am wondering if this is an emergency situation or if I can wait until the morning to take him to his scheduled appointment.
