We recently bought an 8-week-old Toy Poodle x Maltese female puppy. She has had multiple seizures, mainly while asleep, characterized by head jerking, chomping, frothing at the mouth, and occasional incontinence. The seizures last about 10 seconds, and she sometimes becomes hyperactive afterward. Blood tests have come back clear, but a second vet suspects a congenital brain defect. What can we do to stop or minimize her seizures?

My female Tibetan Terrier has had three blood samples taken over a two-week period to check her high calcium levels. I stopped allowing her to drink milk after the first blood work showed higher than normal calcium levels, but the levels remain high. She is now going in for a series of X-rays and ultrasounds on her neck and abdomen. Is it possible that these high calcium levels are due to her milk intake, or is it more probable that she has a tumor?

My Shih Tzu Maltese, who weighs eleven pounds, just ate a few squares of Hershey's milk chocolate. I'm unsure whether to take him to a vet or if it will be alright. Is this an emergency?

Doggie is still coughing daily despite being on prednisone 2mg and hydrocodone 1/4 tab BID, with additional amoxicillin. I'm afraid to taper the medication and don't know what to do next. Should I increase the prednisone or hydrocodone, and how should I manage the dosage to minimize the coughing?

Our 14-year-old toy poodle has started peeing in the house during the day, despite being taken outside every 2-3 hours. She sleeps for 7-8 hours at night without accidents. She is almost completely deaf and has cataracts. We limit her to two rooms and have removed the area rug she had ruined. What could be causing this and what can we do to address it?
