When I gave my dog Bear, who will be 1 year old in 3 days, a bath this morning, I noticed that both his front legs at the 'knee' joint are swollen. The swelling does not seem to be painful to him, and he is not limping. What could be causing this swelling, and what should I do?

My 11-year-old Shih Tzu-Pomeranian mix, Bear, was sedated for grooming six days ago and has not eaten or moved much since. He has been anxious and is barely drinking water. I took him back to the vet, who said he was traumatized and gave him a rebound recuperation formula, but there has been no change. What else can I do?
