Where can I submit radiographs for a second opinion? My 3-year-old fox terrier mix had a severe compound fracture on the right femur, which was surgically fixed with 9 screws, a plate, and a wire. It has been 2 months since the procedure, but the dog still refuses to use the leg. I have taken her for several check-ups, and each time they said everything was fine. I requested a copy of the X-rays to get outside advice. Upon reviewing the images, it appears that the only X-ray showing the screws going through the bone was taken during the last check-up, while the previous ones, taken 3 weeks after surgery, were lateral views showing only the plate. It seems to me that the 3rd screw down from the hip is too long, causing pain where the screw goes through the bone and hits the tissue.
