I'm 44, female, and have been running for four years. In the last six months, my heart rate has been soaring to nearly 250 during my runs, as recorded by my Garmin watch with a chest strap. I don't feel it racing that fast while running, only when looking at my data. My resting heart rate is around 43, and before this, my max was 185 to 190. Sometimes my legs feel heavy during the run, but I haven't been able to correlate that with the times my heart rate data shows it soaring. What could be causing this and should I be concerned?

I had a partial colectomy due to diverticulitis 3 months ago. The doctor used undissolvable stitches, and I feel they are pinching me inside, causing pain and inflammation. Will I have to have another surgery to remove those stitches?
