I have a burning sensation on my right side, between the rib cage and pelvis, which has been intermittent for the last few years but is more noticeable lately due to concerns about diabetes. Is it possible I have a kidney disorder or another issue related to diabetes? I'm nervous because no urine test was done, and I know kidney problems are connected to diabetes. Could I have some other malady?

I was exposed to a person with the flu. The next day, I had a sore and slightly swollen lymph node under my jaw, fatigue, aching eyes, and muscle aches in my shoulders, back, and chest. On the third day, I was still in bed, wanting to sleep, with a sore lymph node under my jaw, intact appetite, body aches, but no fever, runny nose, or cough. Is this the flu or something else?
