I am 54 years old and have been unable to close four fingers on my left hand for several months. I also have trouble lifting my left shoulder above chin level and experience pain and tingling in my left hand when trying to close my fingers. Additionally, I have had issues with my biceps and triceps muscles. I have seen a massage therapist but need further advice.

I am 33 years old and have been experiencing persistent gastrointestinal issues, including discomfort, cramping, and pain in my lower abdomen, especially after bowel movements and when there is pressure on the area. These symptoms seem to occur in cycles, with periods of minimal issues followed by flare-ups. I am concerned about the possibility of colon cancer, despite my doctor suggesting it is likely IBS or IBD. Can scar tissue from previous surgeries, such as gallbladder and appendix removal, contribute to these symptoms? Should I be concerned about colon cancer at my age, and how can I manage my anxiety about this?

I have a GGT level of 396, a fatty liver diagnosis from my 30s, a history of excessive alcohol consumption and smoking, and recently quit both. I also have diabetes with an A1C of 6.4 and back pain on my right side. What could be the cause of my elevated GGT and other liver enzyme levels, and what should I do to address this?

I had a hemorrhoid appear last night and it bothered me all day today. Preparation H and other OTC remedies don't seem to make it get smaller in size. Now, I'm afraid it could be clotting. Do I need to see a colorectal surgeon or will it heal on its own? Should I exercise and refrain from sitting?

My husband has severe muscular pain after an intense coughing spell. The cough has stopped for about two weeks, but the pain is worsening, especially near his ribs. He can't bend or twist easily and the pain is most intense just after waking, easing with heat or soaking in a tub. He also had a recent coughing spell that caused extreme pain. What could be causing this pain and how long might it take to heal if it's muscular?

I'm 61 years old, see my doctor regularly, am on no medication, exercise regularly, don't smoke or drink to excess, and am in excellent physical condition. I have a history of borderline/labile blood pressure readings, and my most recent 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure/Holter monitor average was 138/78, with overnight readings dropping as low as 108/64. During the day, I get a range of readings from 118/68 (evenings) to 160/76 (some midmornings), and have noticed a more consistent elevated morning pattern. When I first awaken, my readings are from 130/70 to 140/74, with occasional ones of 124/68. Following intense morning computer work, my blood pressure rises to levels of 150/76 to 160/78 and sometimes remains elevated for 30-60 minutes. My blood pressure then tends to settle after the initial morning period of elevation. Should I be concerned about these occasional midmorning elevations of 150/78 to 160/78, which last for an hour or so, and consider medication?
