I am a 23-year-old male with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). I experience various physical sensations such as muscle twitches, sharp pains, and random tight feelings in my head, which I often diagnose as serious illnesses. Recently, I had a pulsating sharp head pain on the left side of my head after a stressful night and eating a large amount of pizza. I also experience tingling in my right pointer finger, tension headaches, and random sensations on my scalp and face. I am terrified that these symptoms might indicate a brain tumor or an aneurysm. My family has a history of brain-related issues, which adds to my anxiety. I am currently taking Valium as needed and plan to see a psychiatrist for anti-anxiety medication. I am also experiencing a cold with a stuffy nose and sore throat. I am seeking reassurance that these symptoms are not life-threatening and advice on how to manage my anxiety.
