I am a 46-year-old woman with a history of mini strokes, medication-induced hallucinations, and a pacemaker. Since October, I have been experiencing involuntary movements of my jaw, lips, and tongue, causing pain, sores, and difficulty eating and swallowing. These symptoms only stop when I sleep. I have consulted my GP and a psychiatrist, tried various medications, and researched online, but no one knows what is causing this. I am currently off Depakote due to concerns it might be the cause, but the symptoms persist. Can someone help me figure out what is wrong and suggest any remedies to alleviate the pain and sores on my lips, jaw, and tongue?
