I am a 56-year-old female who has been prescribed Oxycontin at 40mg strength for 7 months. I decided to stop taking them five days ago due to no increase in pain when I forgot a dose. I am experiencing withdrawal symptoms, including serious loose stools, spasmic jerking of my arms and legs, chills, and sweats. How long should I expect these symptoms to last, and is there anything I can do to ease the loose stools and other withdrawal symptoms?
