I am a 62-year-old female with osteopenia. I took my first dose of Boniva (150mg) and experienced severe headaches, upper jaw pain, and a sudden severe pain in the right side of my head during intercourse, which is concerning given my family history of enlarged blood vessels in the brain. Would continuing Boniva put me at risk, and are there other osteoporosis drugs that might be safer or more effective for me?

The symptoms you experienced after taking Boniva do not seem to be typical side effects of the drug....
