I have a sharp pain in the lower right side of my back at night, which has been persistent for two months. The pain is excruciating when trying to turn from a side position to lying on my back, and it pierces my lower back on the right side above the butt crack. The pain is only present in the evening and is accompanied by tenderness at all times. I have fibroids and had a depo shot in March, but my period just finished over a week ago. I've noticed that increased sugar intake seems to exacerbate the pain, and I've also experienced sharp frontal cramping today. What could be causing this pain, and what should I do?

I have been prescribed famotidine for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), but I experience symptoms only once every six months. Is GERD something to be concerned about if it doesn't happen often, and why is it called a disease if it's not always serious?

Can alcohol be detected in a drug urinalysis, and if so, for how long? My last drink was at 2-3 a.m., and I took a urine drug screen for an AODA assessment at 4:40 p.m.
