I have continuous pus-filled lumps on my pubic area and groin, with enlarged lymph nodes in the same area. The lumps do not spread but reappear after antibiotic treatment ends. The lumps are purple, sometimes connected by a purple, raised line, and are the size of a little-finger-nail. There is no itching or discomfort, but significant swelling in the groin. My urine is foul-smelling and often contains blood. What could be causing these lumps, and what steps can be taken to identify and treat the infection?

My 19-year-old son had a severe auto accident in August and has recovered from most injuries, but now has drop foot in his left foot due to muscle damage from the trauma. Is drop foot usually permanent, and is there a time limit, like 6 months to a year, after which it's unlikely to improve if it hasn't already?

I have been taking fluoxetine 20mg for the last 18 months and recently increased the dose to 40mg per day. I have always had regular periods, but this month I am more than two weeks late. I have done a negative pregnancy test, and my husband has had a vasectomy. Could the increase in fluoxetine dosage be causing my irregular periods?

My friend's husband gets an all-over body rash after having a fever. The fever doesn't seem to be associated with anything like a cold or the flu. The rash is bright red and all over his body. It starts to fade the next day and is gone in 3 or 4 days. His GP seems unconcerned, but my friend is very nervous about it.

I can't wake up in the morning. My alarm clock goes off but I don't get up. It's like I don't hear it, but I can hear fine. I go to bed early and wake up late.
