I have pain on the right side of my back about waist high. It hurts when I walk and sometimes causes sharp pains. I thought it was spinal related, but it only hurts on one side and aches in the mornings. It sometimes makes me pull my back down and to the right when I walk. I am a heart patient with a history of quadruple bypass, arthritis in my hands, and recurring ulcers. I take medications including Zocor, Hyzaar, Atenolol, Piroxicam, Calcium, Centrum Silver vitamins, Prilosec, and aspirin daily. I also have had upper back pain between my shoulder blades for about 5 years, which is not yet diagnosed. What could be causing this lower mid back pain and what should I do?
