I have SI joint dysfunction and am concerned about a possible diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis. I've had an X-ray showing SI joint inflammation on both sides, an MRI showing a herniated disc and bulging disc, and normal results from electromyography and nerve conduction velocity tests. My symptoms include buttock pain down the legs for the last five months, which doesn't improve with exercise. What is the likelihood of ankylosing spondylitis causing my symptoms, and what else could be causing my pain?
