Can female hormones cause PVCs (premature ventricular contractions)? I have started having them and they come around ovulation and period. I am 35 years old, do not take birth control pills, do not drink or smoke, and do not have hyperthyroidism. I have gained weight over the last 4 years but do not have hypothyroidism either. I switched to half decaf coffee and do not drink soda. I notice PVCs around ovulation and period and can have one or 20 a day. No pain or shortness of breath and they ease up after my period. I also get a lot of heartburn around my cycle.

I have Zenker's Diverticulum. I sometimes choke when swallowing pills or water, which is very frightening. I had one surgery but it couldn't be completed due to risks. I have a pacemaker, a small stent, and have had ablations for rapid heartbeats. One doctor suggests another operation, but my internist disagrees. What can I do to prevent choking?
