I'm having pain in the right side of my abdomen underneath. It hurts, and I feel like vomiting. When I try to go to the bathroom, it hurts when I push. I also feel bloated. What could be causing this and what should I do?

I want to know about the possible long-term effects of being treated for an impaired immune system by gene therapy as a kid. My doctor was Jerald C. Sadoff. I would rather do gene therapy than take pills, as the pills only work for a little while. Please help me find an organization that can help me with this.

My 87-year-old mother has been extremely active until recently, but now stays in bed most of the time due to lack of energy, eats very little, and occasionally feels nauseated with an upset stomach. She has been to a physician, had normal blood work, and was on various medications (lypotor, papavarin, meclazine, amatryplin) which were recently discontinued. The doctor saw no signs of dementia but couldn't identify the problem. What could be causing her symptoms?
