I started having liquid diarrhea yesterday evening and all through the night. I threw up a mushy vomit at 1 am and continued vomiting every couple of hours until about 5 am. I have been drinking tea with milk and feel a tad queasy. What could be causing this and what self-care remedies should I try?

I experience shortness of breath during my sleeping period. I have had a chest x-ray, CT scan, ECG, and echo, and I have high blood pressure. My high blood pressure medication includes captohexal and urirex k. I have had this issue since March 18, 2007, starting with a cold, and it occurs sometimes, especially in the early morning. I feel comfortable sitting but not standing. My previous x-ray indicated an enlarged heart due to high blood pressure, and I have never been treated for bronchial asthma. What could be causing this shortness of breath and what further tests should I consider?

An 89-year-old female with a history of Atrial Fibrillation and Mixed Dementia was found on the floor fitting, exhibiting Grand Mal seizures, cyanosis, and labored breathing with saliva and mucus draining from her mouth. She was transferred to the hospital with a provisional diagnosis of CVA or Embolism, high blood sugar, and elevated lactate levels. She is profoundly unconscious with no response to stimuli, hemiparesis on the right side, and irregular breathing patterns. A CT scan revealed no signs of emboli, bleeding, or injury. What could be wrong with her, and what is the prognosis?
