I am worried that I have necrotizing fasciitis (the flesh-eating bacteria) due to a small cut/irritation on my genital area from masturbating. The cut appeared last Sunday, is scabbing, and had a little blue scab on part of the cut. I applied Neosporin on Monday and today. I took my temperature multiple times and it ranged from 95.6 to 98.9. Can a cut in this area still get infected by any disease, including necrotizing fasciitis, and what steps should I take to ensure it heals properly?

I was diagnosed with a mild concussion four weeks ago after a head injury. My neck has been stiff since the accident, and I experience nausea and headaches when I move my neck a lot. I'm concerned about the duration of these symptoms and when to be concerned. Additionally, I've been taking Aleve for pain, but it doesn't seem to be helping much. Is there a better approach to managing these symptoms, and are there any concerns about combining Aleve with my other medications?
