I've been going through a separation with my husband and have always had anxiety problems. But now they are at a level 10. I can't sleep and am anxious all day long. On top of that I have two kids to care for. Do you prescribe medications for anxiety, and if not, what should I do?

I am a nurse anesthetist who was on-call last weekend and performed anesthesia for an orthopedic case using a C-arm (196 seconds total exposure). I am currently in my 6th week of pregnancy and am concerned about potential harm to the fetus due to radiation exposure. I wore 0.5 lead aprons on the front and back and stood 4-6 feet away from the C-arm. How much radiation do you think I exposed the fetus to during the case, and what advice can you provide for my peace of mind?

I went to see a nurse practitioner about a yeast infection and some punctures or tiny skin breaks in my anal area, which I noticed after scratching intensely and shaving the area. By the time I saw the nurse practitioner, the punctures had either healed or were gone, and she didn't see anything. I'm concerned these might have been herpes sores that the nurse practitioner missed. Are these most likely herpes sores, or something like folliculitis? Do herpes sores usually heal that quickly? Are herpes sores difficult to see; how likely would the nurse practitioner have missed them if they were herpes sores?

My father was on Januvia and experienced higher fasting morning sugars (from 130 to 155). He stopped Januvia, and his fasting sugars decreased to 120, but are now back up to 140. He has had late-night snacks with these sugar levels. What might be causing this fluctuation, and what other diabetes medications could be considered?
