In the past three weeks, I have developed severe edema to the point of being painful to walk, stand, or even lay comfortably. I have no other health conditions except high blood pressure controlled by medication. The pressure in my feet feels extreme, and the swelling is visible in my hands, face, and feet. My doctor recommended a water pill, and my kidneys are fine according to a urine analysis. I am worried and frustrated. What could be causing this swelling, and is it related to the antibiotics I took in April and the tetanus shot I received after being bitten by a dog?

Both feet and legs up to my knees are swollen after I went without taking my Lantus insulin for over a week. I started using NPH insulin four days ago, but the swelling persists. Will the swelling go down if I stay in control? Additionally, my left foot gets very numb when sitting, and there is no pain other than the swelling being so severe I can't put on shoes.

I am a 60-year-old woman in good health, but I've had recurring intense pain in the back of my head on the left side for the past 4-6 weeks. The pain lasts only a few seconds and is not related to my ear or vision. I hold stress in my neck and shoulders, but this pain is new. I also have mild nausea. What could be causing this pain?
