I am 38 years old with a history of cysts on my ovaries. I experience varying degrees of pain each month, and recently had severe pain on my right side that prevented me from walking upright and urinating. The gynecologist diagnosed it as a ruptured cyst. Since then, I have had persistent burning in the area of my right ovary, with varying degrees of pain. Could I be at risk for ovarian cancer, and could my polycystic ovaries be contributing to my increased depression?

I have slight dextrocoliosis with its apex at L2-L3, and there is straightening of the spine suggesting spasm. I cannot walk without a cane, and the pain goes down my right leg. I do not know what caused the pain, and I sleep on a waterbed. I want to know what I need to do to get relief from the pain, which is destroying my life. I take Percocet and a muscle relaxer. What other options are there without surgery?

I am now interested in having sexual intercourse but am concerned about recurring infections. Should I speak to my gynecologist about BV vaginal infection, and is there any medication that could help?

I have symptoms of hormone imbalance including extremely oily skin, acne, heavy hair shedding, and cystic ovaries since my mid-20s. I've tried various treatments like birth control pills and progesterone cream, but they didn't work well for me. I'm currently on thyroid medication, but it seems to help minimally. What type of hormone imbalance do these symptoms sound like, and is there anything I can take to get balanced out?
