Following an assault last year, I underwent surgery for an ORIF on my fractured mandible. After being discharged from the hospital, my recovery period was horrific due to severe pain and restricted jaw movement, making it difficult to speak and be understood. I am seeking compensation for the assault and need to prove that I could barely speak after the surgery. My 83-year-old mother, who has been extremely active until about 4-5 years ago, was diagnosed with Benign Familial Tremor. She recently had an MRI that showed no signs of recent stroke or bleeding, but did show vessel disease consistent with her age and a small amount of fluid that might be normal.
