My husband has aspiration pneumonia due to his epiglottis not shutting tightly, leading to silent aspiration of thickened liquids into his lungs. He has a peg tube and has been told he can never drink or eat anything for the rest of his life, not even chewing gum. We presume this is from a stroke. Is there anything besides speech therapy that can be done to help him?

I was sick yesterday with vomiting and diarrhea. Today, I have a sore throat and difficulty swallowing anything thicker than jello. I found a small bump on the side of my tongue that seems to be causing the problem. What could this bump be and how can I get rid of it?

My 11-year-old son has had a fever of 100.8 for 2 days now. He also complains of a headache and had a slight nose bleed on the first day of the fever. Ibuprofen has fixed the headache and fever. Should I take him to the doctor?
