My husband, Jack, is 75 years old and has had heart surgery and a stroke in the past. He is experiencing severe swelling in his feet, making it difficult to wear shoes. He is currently taking Plavix, simvastatin, atenolol, Enalapril Maleate, niacin, B-12, aspirin, furosemide, and meloxicam. Could one of these medications be causing the swelling, and should I be concerned?

For the last 3 weeks, I have been experiencing feelings of pins and needles on my left thigh, sometimes just above my knee and sometimes from my thigh to my left calf. I don't have any symptoms on my right thigh. It happens suddenly, whether I'm sitting or standing. I don't have any real pain, just the strange sensation in my left thigh, which seems to be spreading throughout my left leg. I don't have any weakness or loss of motion. I am concerned because it's getting worse and happening more often.

I have a stepdaughter who has been diagnosed with both bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. How do these conditions interact, and could she be a danger to herself and others? She is currently in a hospital for evaluation after a recent episode.
