My mother is 78 years old and hasn't been to a doctor in 40 years. Recently, her blood pressure was 180/90, and she was prescribed high blood pressure medication. The doctor suspects she had a heart attack at some point without realizing it. She has a hard and bloated stomach, blood in her stool, and dark tarry stools. Her hemoglobin was extremely low, and she received blood transfusions in the hospital. More tests are being run. What could be some possible diagnoses for someone like her who has had no preventive care?
