My wife, who is 67 years old, has had double knee surgery with complications from blood clots, a vena cava filter, osteoarthritis in her knees, possibly her hip, and one toe, and has undergone a bunionectomy with screws. She is overweight and has had issues during rehab. I am looking for a specific recommendation for an orthopedic specialist in Louisville, Kentucky, who specializes in treating older individuals, considering her weight, age, and physical activity level. Can you provide a more specific recommendation?

I have a bad rumbling in my throat/chest when I breath and a bad cough that brings up thick mucus. When I blow my nose its thick mucus too. No fever. Fatigued. A little pressure in my sinus. No ear ache/pain. No severe chest/lung pain, just discomfort. Get sweats/chills in AM and PM. Had this for a week now. Is this bronchitis? Supposed to fly 4 hrs tomorrow am. Thoughts?

Over the past couple of months, I have been experiencing intermittent pain on my right side, accompanied by a low-grade fever. Ultrasound and blood tests were normal, but I was prescribed Arcept (likely a misspelling of a medication like Aciphex) for stomach problems. The pain comes and goes, and Tylenol and Aleve are not providing much relief. What could be causing this pain and what should I do next?

I have vitiligo and am considering treatments I found online, such as Vitiligo Tab, Melagenina Plus, and Novitil. These treatments claim rapid results with no side effects. I am planning for my wedding next August and would like to reduce the visibility of my white patches. Should I try these treatments, and how do I go about contacting a dermatologist for professional advice?

I think I might have the flu. I have no fever, but I have a dry cough that is 90% non-productive, very tired, headache, and the cough hurts my chest. Do you think I should spend the money to go see a doctor tomorrow?

I have red swelling eruptions (some, the size of a pinhead, or a bit larger) all along my leg. They tend to stop by the time it reaches my inner thigh. These blotches are red, and they do not bleed, but they do cause marks after they desist. It breaks the top layer of my skin. Could it be some type of psoriasis? I used to have a cat, and she went outdoors at times. These blotches began at about the time I acquired her and haven't stopped since. I noticed these blotches about a year ago, but they come back after a while. Could it be my bed or couch infected with something that the cat dragged in?
