Today I found dried blood on my front door. I wiped it with a wet paper towel and did not think much about it till right now. The thing is that after I wiped it out I ate breakfast without washing my hands because I was in a hurry. And I also have open scratches on my hands due to my two cats. I have a persistent lump-like sensation in the front of my throat, similar to where my Adam's apple is, which feels swollen. I have seen two ENT specialists over the last five months, and they have diagnosed it as acid reflux, but I suspect it might be related to thyroid or larynx issues, possibly even cancer. Symptoms include a tight feeling in the throat, a hoarse voice, constant burping, an enlarged thyroid (not visible but palpable), difficulty breathing, swallowing problems, and a dry mouth. Tests conducted include nasal laryngoscopy, two barium swallows, a CT scan of the soft tissue of the neck, and a thyroid blood test, all of which were normal. What additional tests or evaluations can I request to diagnose the underlying cause of these symptoms?
