I cut my hand with a knife 3 days ago. The cut was in the palm of the hand near the pointer finger, and the finger immediately became swollen and stiff. I went to the hospital, got a tetanus shot, and a stitch on the cut. My concern is that, even though I'm taking antibiotics, the finger is still swollen, stiff, and hurts when I try to do anything. It's weak. Could I have injured any tendon or nerve? Do I need to do anything about it? The cut is fine and already closed.

I suffer from bipolar disorder and am having a hard time. My family doctor is away sick, and when I tried to contact my psychiatrist, I was told to go to a walk-in clinic. My current medication (20 mg cipralex, 1000 mg epival, 150 mg seroquel, and 15 mg zopiclone) is not working and hasn't for over 6 months. I don't know who I can turn to or if there is another psychiatrist I can talk to in my hometown.
