My stomach/abdomen area is very extended and solid (not soft and giggly). The area begins just below my breasts and extends to below my stomach. At night, when I lay on my back, it feels like it's pushing my ribs wider. I am 64 years old, 5'4" tall, and weigh approximately 165 lbs. Is this anything to worry about, or do I just need to lose some weight?

My wife has had a fever ranging from 104.2 to 96.3, intermittent for two days, and has not had a bowel movement for four days. I have given her a mild laxative, Senna-C Plus, with little result, and started Erythromycin 500 mg. She has not had solid food since yesterday, only liquids like water, 7-Up, and papaya and prune juice. Her fever returned this evening. What else should I do, and should I continue giving her the antibiotic until we see a doctor tomorrow?

My friend's father is 85 years old, in poor health, has poor lung functioning, and is on 3.5 liters of oxygen a day. He has a blockage in his colon and was admitted to the hospital. The doctors say he would not survive surgery due to his poor health and may only survive about 3 weeks or possibly recover on his own. Is there anything noninvasive that an alternative practitioner could do to help his condition? Are there any MDs in Florida, specifically in Coral Springs, who practice alternative/integrative medicine that could offer more knowledge on this issue?
