Is it carpal tunnel? My symptoms include squeaking and intense pain in my middle fingers after 8 hours of work, with the right hand hurting more due to sorting mail. The pain sometimes involves the thumb and radiates up to the elbow. I also have a history of neck problems, including stiffness and soreness, and had epidural injections in my neck in November. Is there a connection between my neck issues and the hand pain?

I have been experiencing swelling in both my legs and feet for quite some time, which worsened after I was hospitalized for pancreatitis due to alcohol abuse. I have since quit drinking but continue to have swelling issues, numbness in my feet, and pain. My primary care physician has not been helpful, suggesting only to reduce salt intake.
