A family member was issued an Emergency Protective Order (EPO) for 72 hours after overdosing on depression medication. She was in the ER for 20 hours and then moved to Behavioral Health, where she has been for almost 48 hours. Despite being told she is 'the most normal person they've had in there,' the facility plans to keep her for 2 to 3 more days. Can they force her to stay, or can she force them to allow her to leave once the full 72-hour EPO expires?
