I have a contractor, CA South Constructors Inc., who hired me as a subcontractor. The project manager, who is a 1099 subcontractor, signed the agreement on behalf of the company. They recently sent me a notice of termination with incorrect contact information and company name. I stopped work because they hadn't paid me. What are the legal implications of this situation, and how should I proceed?

My mom has been in trust litigation for 3 years and is awaiting a judge's decision on whether she can take her house out of the trust to get a reverse mortgage. The contingent beneficiaries claim the house cannot be taken out because the trust is now irrevocable. However, my mom has a nonfiduciary power of appointment. If the judge does not allow the house to be taken out or imposes unacceptable restrictions, can she exercise her power of appointment to appoint the property to someone else either now or by will? The terms of the trust do not prevent this exercise. Also, if the house is taken out of the trust and becomes her personal property, can the court impose restrictions on her use of the reverse mortgage proceeds?

We signed a 10-year membership contract with Karma Group in Hoi An, Vietnam, and paid an upfront membership fee. We are now concerned about the contract after seeing negative reviews and realizing there is no mention of a cooling-off period in the contract. Are we eligible for a cooling-off period under Vietnamese or Australian law to cancel the contract?

I'm setting up an LLC in Texas and am considering the names 'OurBigCloud' and 'BigCloud'. I've checked the USPTO database and found that 'BigCloud' is trademarked by a tech company, but 'OurBigCloud' is not. I plan to use both names on my apparel line. Should I choose 'OurBigCloud' for the LLC and trademark it, and also consider trademarking 'BigCloud'? Can I use both names on my products under the same LLC?
