A plaintiff was coerced by a postal inspector to make a confession of guilt, under threat of career destruction if he refused. This confession was used by both a U.S. District Court judge and an appellate judge to dismiss the plaintiff's case. The plaintiff is now seeking a rehearing en banc. What can the plaintiff do to overcome this situation, and are there any laws or court rules that can be cited to support the plaintiff's case?

In our subdivision, the Board of Directors requires that proxies for voting must be notarized, which most members dispute. The bylaws were changed a few years ago with the intention to eliminate this requirement, but a Board Member who is a lawyer insists that proxies still need to be notarized. Can you review the voting section of our bylaws and clarify whether proxies need to be notarized based on the current version and the intent of the 2018 bylaw change?

In my state, fax filing is a legal form of service. The opposing attorney claims they did not receive the full fax and asked me to resubmit. I have the fax confirmation showing they received the full fax. I am worried that if I resubmit, they will claim I did not submit discovery soon enough. What evidence will hold up in court: my fax confirmation or their claim?

My partner was charged with domestic assault (S266) for the first time, involving a slap and spit. We have a no contact order and I want to know how to have it lifted and how powerful affidavits are in expressing my wishes to the crown. Additionally, I need guidance on whether to reach out to the crown through the case worker or hire a private lawyer, and what my role would be if the case goes to trial.
