I have an abandoned backhoe on my property in Texas that has been sitting for 5 years. I have letters from a construction company stating the backhoe is not theirs, and no one has come forward to claim it. At what point do I consider the backhoe mine, and what legal steps do I need to take to claim it as mine?

We only had liability and property damage insurance on the motorcycle. Do we need to hire an attorney, and how much of a settlement should he expect to get?

I was sued in Florida by a church that was the beneficiary of a trust. The bank accounts were left to me, my children, and my ex-daughter-in-law by Pay on Death. I lost my appeal in Florida, and now have a judgment against me. The judgment was transferred as a foreign judgment to the Tennessee courts, and I hired a lawyer here who has been suspended from practicing law. I am trying to find out: 1) Can a foreign judgment be appealed or what steps can I take to fight this due to the lawyer not filing any answers in my case? 2) With my judgment being brought as a foreign judgment to Tennessee, how does the enforcement work, by Florida law or by Tennessee law?
