Are there any lawyers that specialize in student loans and those that have predatory practices with CFNC, a student loan servicer, in North Carolina? I have gathered information to find out that the federal student loan taken out with FAFSA is not guaranteed by federal laws and is owned by a private servicer. The University never stated that the loan would be handled with a private servicer, and now myself and other classmates are finding out we have no protection under the HEROES ACT or the CARES ACT.

I am a psychologist in South Carolina involved in a custody dispute. The opposing attorney sent me a subpoena for my client's records, which my client initially refused to release. The attorney filed a civil complaint against me for a Motion to Show Cause. My client later signed a release through his attorney, and I emailed the records to the opposing attorney, but he has refused to acknowledge receipt and has not dropped the case against me.
