As an architect, my client wants to reduce my fee during construction administration. They have refused to take responsibility for the construction documents and terminated the contract for construction administration (CA), but want me as a consultant to save money. I agreed to this on the condition that I won't be liable for errors and omissions if I don't do the full CA, but they won't sign that agreement. What legal steps can I take to address this situation?

I did something horrible at a gas station in Austin, Texas. I had severe stomach issues and, after being told the bathroom was out of order, I used an office instead, causing a mess. I left without cleaning up. Should I go back to the gas station and apologize and offer to pay for everything? How much legal trouble will I be in for running?

I am the plaintiff in a civil court case in Solano County, California, with three defendants. I requested and was granted default on all three defendants in April 2022, but later learned that form CIV-050 must be served on each defendant before default can be requested. I have now served the CIV-050 on all three defendants and am ready to ask for a default judgment. However, my request for default and judgment was returned because 'default has already been entered.' Should I proceed with requesting a default judgment without further concern about the technically incorrect default entered last April, or what steps do I need to take to correct the incorrect default so that I can request a default judgment?
