At a dog park in California, my leashed dog was attacked by an unleashed, aggressive dog. The owner of the aggressive dog insisted I unleash my dog, which led to my dog attacking the other dog. The owner of the aggressive dog intervened and was bitten. He is demanding I pay not only for his dog's vet bills but also for his medical bills and his insurance copayments. Is it legally required for me to pay for his insurance copayments, and should I pay his medical bills, or should I let him take me to court if he insists?
